What are your 3 tips for success?
First I was shocked. Then I was wildly impressed. This kid, who doesn't even appear to be old enough to drive is asking questions I never dreamed of asking at his age.
With no time to think or plan out a response, I blurted out what immediately came to mind:
1. Learn. Learn from books, learn from other people. Never stop educating yourself and growing, because just when you think you've learned everything there is to know, you haven't.

It’s Never About Real Estate
This real estate thing has delivered some of the closest and most amazing people to my life. I was reminded of one of the beautiful couples I have met, called friends and felt the impact they’ve had on my life.
While we are always professional with our clients, we are always moving in a relationship with them. We begin to let them into our world and they let us into theirs. It’s here that these clients become friends and our lives intertwine.
Today I went to see one of those dear friends that I became close with as I sold their home earlier this year. Having met them a few years ago, I quickly found common ground with them in their faith amid other things. In lowering our walls we suddenly had an environment where everyone felt empowered to participate and speak whatever thoughts entered their heads. What that yielded was a plethora of amazing ideas that may or may not have made it to the light in any other type of environment. What I noticed happen was no one was afraid to look silly; no one said “This may be a bad idea…..” it was just “what about this ______?” Everyone took RISKS!

Wasting Time Only Harms You
Also, if you’re more productive than average people, you’ll advance faster in your career. You learn more. You do more. And eventually are rewarded more.
And when I talk about productivity, I talk about being effective.
Because productivity doesn’t suggest that you get the right things done. It just means you get a lot of stuff done. But that’s not what matters.
Effectiveness, however, refers to getting the right things done.
And if you want to do your job well, earn money, live a meaningful life, or learn skills, that is what matters the most. Otherwise, you just run around in circles. You might appear busy, but you won’t achieve anything meaningful.
In other words: It’s easy to do useless work. Work that doesn’t bring you closer to the outcomes you desire.
