You ever wonder why kids these days (also known as millennials) are buying houses? Thanks to some.... we’ve discovered the number one reason millennials purchase real estate. So what is it? Is it when they get married? No. Is it because the market has been booming and they’re trying to take advantage of the low interest rates and increases in home value? Negative. What about millennials having their own children? Sure they are buying property because they need more space for their beautiful babies.
So, what in the world could be the #1 reason millennials are buying real estate? Are you sure you’re ready for this answer?
Millennials are the largest group of home buyers this industry has ever seen, and the reason they are making the jump from apartment or basement living is for their fur-babies. That’s right, their dogs.
A survey by Harris Poll on behalf of SunTrust Bank found that 33% of millennials purchased a home so they co ...

For those of you that have teen drivers, you can probably relate. Those of you with little ones, just hold on and don't blink, you'll be here before you know it. You folks know that my youngest, who is our only girl, just turned 16 and got her permit. She's been begging to drive for weeks leading up to the big moment, however we resisted the urge. So I knew that the excitement of driving had been building up like a tidal wave for her. Safe to say, I was kind of dreading the first moment she would get behind the wheel. I mean lets face it the experience I had previously was with my 2 teenage boys and when they drove, you pushed your imaginary brake a lot, screamed slow down all the time and well pretty much held on for dear life. So that was my limited experience of teaching teenagers to drive.
With anxiety all over my body, I handed her the keys when she asked to drive on one of our more back roads. I prepared to hold on and probably squinted getting ready for the fl ...

As someone who coaches multiple people on our team (and having done so for a while now), I thought I had coaching figured out. I thought I knew how to push different people in different ways to help them be the best that they could be. Well, I went to a coaching camp that Keller Williams offers (number 1 training company in the world, remember?), I found out that I was SORELY mistaken. The takeaways at that camp were in the hundreds; and no, I won’t talk about everything I learned. There was one lesson that stood out more than any other one though, and that lesson is one that I will take with me no matter where I go and what I do. It’s a lesson that can be applied ANYWHERE! The lesson: coaches don’t play the field. When you first hear it, it’s like DUH! They’re the coach?! And, when you start to dissect it and analyze the statement you realize that it’s arguably the most important piece of coaching. To understand why this is so important we need to u ...

I am naturally a semi-skeptical person, most of the time my brain processes things as “too good to be true”. Not necessarily a glass half empty type of perspective but more of a cautiously optimistic view on a lot of things. So when other agents in our office approached me, a recently new licensed agent, about a class called BOLD and how life changing it was I was of course just slightly skeptical on how truly “perspective altering” this course would be. They went on and on about how awesome it was going to be for me to take it and grow in ways that I didn’t know I could. A small part of me was in a state of minor disbelief but a large sliver of my soul was ready to take on the challenge. I mean c’mon, if that many people were raving about it then it definitely had to be somewhat good right?!? I was ready to grow; as a man, an agent, an entrepreneur, and just in general.
Man oh man, were they right……. After 8 weeks of high intens ...

What happens once in a lifetime? The things that only occur once in your lifetime are usually things like marriage (if you’re lucky), becoming a parent for the first time, buying that first house, and the feeling you get when you first drive a car. Those are BIG moments, normally life altering moments. And I would argue that just a few weeks ago a different once in a lifetime moment happened to UK fans (under the age of 32) everywhere. In case you haven’t heard the UK football team beat the UF football team for the first time in 32 years! That’s the first time in my LIFETIME! I’ve gotten married, driven a car, live in a house, and have even sat courtside at a UK basketball game; and until 2 weeks ago I had never experienced what it’s like to beat Florida. Normally those “once in a lifetime” moments are life altering moments. And I would argue that since that win all of Big Blue Nation has had a major life change: we ALL believe now! We finally ...
